Montague Lady Eagles Stay Perfect in District Play

The Montague Lady Eagles protected their home court Thursday night, January 8th, with a strong 28–14 victory over the Prairie Valley Lady Bulldogs. The win keeps the Lady Eagles undefeated in district play as they continue an impressive season.
Sage Keck and Jalena Rodriguez led the scoring effort for Montague, each finishing the night with 8 points. The Lady Eagles also benefited from valuable minutes off the bench, as multiple players stepped in and contributed on both ends of the floor to help secure the win.
This week’s DAWG Award goes to Madison Fomby, who brought nonstop hustle throughout the game. Madison made her presence known by battling for rebounds, pushing the pace, and consistently looking up the court to find her teammates in the right spots. Her effort and team-first mentality truly define what it means to be UNSELFISH.
With the win, the Lady Eagles improve to 6–0 in district play. They will be back in action Thursday, January 15th, as they travel to Forestburg to take on the Lady Horns.
