Ward and Keck Chosen as Teacher of the Year, TIA Teachers Recognized

At a recent banquet, Montague ISD named Shannon Ward as Elementary Teacher of the Year for the 2023-24 school year. Mrs. Ward teaches Kindergarten and is in her second year at MISD and has been in education for 13 years. Staley Keck was named Secondary Teacher of the Year. Mr. Keck is in his 12th year at MISD and 25th year in education. This is the 3rd time he has been awarded this honor. He teaches science, a CTE class, technology, and Outdoor Education. This award is voted on by co-workers.

MISD also recognized the following teachers who earned a TIA (Teacher Incentive Allotment) rating: Amanda Rhoades, Jesse Romine, Staley and Lila Keck, Denise Bell, Shannon Ward, Patty Richardson, Julia Davis, Emily Davis, and Kristi Eldred. These teachers earned $184, 578 in bonuses.
