Football Wins
The Montague Junior High football team traveled to Wichita Falls last Thursday to take on the Notre Dame Knights for the second time this season. The Eagles won the first meeting by a score of 46-0 and again won big in this one by a score of 58-12. Montague led at the half by a score of 35-0 thanks to great defense and an effective mix of the run and passing game. The Eagles continued the strong performance in the second half getting big chunks of yardage on offense and keeping the Knights defense off balance. Both wins for the Eagles have come against Notre Dame and their season record now comes to 2-5. Notable stats for the contest include: Brady Moore with 72 yards rushing, 103 yards receiving, 6 touchdowns, and 3 extra points; Hunter Parr with 75 yards rushing, 1 touchdown, 3 extra points, and 2 fumble recoveries; Caden Belcher had 17 completions on 22 attempts for 125 yards passing and 6 passing touchdowns; and Kasch Johnson finished with 11 yards rushing and 10 yards receiving
The Eagles will travel to Saint Jo to battle the Panthers next Thursday at 5:30 for their final game of the 2020 season.
