The Lady Eagles ended their undefeated district season on January 31st with a  51-4 win at Gold-Burg.  Every player scored a bucket to contribute to the win. Brylie Hager had 13 points with Paige Davis scoring 12 points along with 4 assists, 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Aubree Kleinhans scored 9 points, dished out 6 assists and had 7 steals, while Bayler Smith had 6 points and Ava Johnson 4 points. Chloe Broussard scored 3 points to go with 5 rebounds while Tinley Cable and Raylea Bowles each scored a bucket. The Lady Eagles end district a perfect 10-0 with a 15-1 overall record. The Lady Eagles have been undefeated in district 5 out of the last 7 years with a a 69-3 record.

On the boy's side, the Eagles wrapped up the season with an undefeated district record for the 3rd time in the last 10 years at MISD. In the first half, the Eagles played well defensively mixing up the press with their half-court defense to speed up the pace. The Eagles forced turnovers by the Bears and capitalized with points on the other end, building a nice first half lead, 32-13. In the second half the Eagles scored early and often, and dug in defensively, allowing just 8 second half points by the Bears. The Eagles won the game by a final score of 58-21, ending the year with a 12-3 overall record and undefeated in district at 10-0. 

Montague will travel to their first track meet on February 28th at Lindsay.
