Montague Wins Bowie Tournament

The Montague Lady Eagles played in the "Play for Parr" 8th grade tournament on Saturday. They had a great day defeating Jacksboro first 25-16, 25-13 then Bowie 25-15, 25-12. The championship game was a great match up between 2 very skilled teams. Montague won the 3 set thriller 25-20, 23-25, 15-13. Outstanding stats from the 3 game tournament: Aubree Kleinhans 22 kills, 5 aces, 8 digs, 13 assists, 9 saves, Tinley Cable 5 kills, 20 assists, 7 saves, Ava Johnson 11 aces, 9 digs, 5 kills, Bayler Smith 15 digs, Paige Davis 7 aces. The team served an outstanding 88% from the serving line with 28 aces.

Montague traveled to Prairie Valley Monday night and won 25-7, 25-12. Outstanding stats from Monday's game: Tinley Cable 100% serving with 4 aces, 6 assists, Ava Johnson 4 kills, 2 aces, Aubree Kleinhans 6 aces, 5 assists, Lexi Romine 2 aces, Emma Read 8 aces, Avaree Woodyard 5 aces.

Montague is 8-0 and will host Nocona on Monday, Septemeber 20th beginning at 5.
