Both Teams Remain Undefeated
The Montague Lady Eagles were victorious in their 2nd home game of the year Thursday night. They hosted Prairie Valley and won 42-12. Kaygan Stone led the way with 14 points and 7 rebounds while Aubree Kleinhans had 11 points and 5 steals. Other stats: Railey Martin 5 points, Tinley Cable 4 points and 4 rebounds, Ava Johnson 4 points and 3 assists, Bayler Smith 2 points and 9 steals, Brylie Hager also had 2 points. The Lady Eagles are now 3-0.
On the boy's side, Montague won the game by a final score of 30-12. Montague led 14-8 at the end of the first half after a shaky start defensively. In the second half, the Eagles defense clamped down, and outscored the Bulldogs 16-4 on their way to their 3rd straight win to start the new season. Top scorers for Montague were Caden Belcher and Kasch Johnson each with 12 points, followed by Karson Kleinhans with 4 and Hunter Parr with 2.
The Eagles join the Lady Eagles at 3-0 and will travel to Bellevue for their next matchup on Monday, December 7th.
