Montague ISD Hosts End-of-Year Awards Assembly Honoring Students and Staff
Montague ISD closed out the school year with its annual End-of-Year Awards Assembly, recognizing exceptional students, dedicated staff, and community supporters.
Three prestigious Principal’s Awards for Student of the Year were presented to:

Autry Jennings, 4th Grade

Aiden Chavez, 7th Grade
Karla Murphey was honored with both the Perfect Attendance Award for Teachers and the title of Secondary Teacher of the Year, while Jonathan David was named Elementary Teacher of the Year.

The district also celebrated key contributors to the school community. The PTO “Dream Team” Award was given to Hanna Garrett and Cathy Mowery for their tireless support, and Kerry Tipton was recognized as the Bus Stop Hero for his commitment to student safety.
A meaningful new tradition began this year with the introduction of the Eagle Integrity Award, an honor given to an 8th grade student who has maintained zero discipline referrals throughout their time at MISD. The first-ever recipient was Decker Reese, a student who truly exemplifies integrity and leadership.
Montague ISD extends its congratulations to all honorees and is proud of the accomplishments and character shown throughout the 2024–2025 school year.
