Montague Plays Midway
Montague traveled to Midway for their first game back after the holiday break. Although the Lady Eagles came away with a win, shots were not falling as normal for the Lady Eagles. Montague started out slow but ended strong in a very physical contest 47-20. Paige Davis led with a double double 17 points, 13 rebounds to go with 5 assists, 2 blocks and 4 steals. Emma Read drew a lot of fouls from the Lady Falcons and ended with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals. 6th grader Maddyn Bowles scored in double digits for the first time this year with 12 points to go with 7 steals as she played very aggressive defense all night. Montague elected a 5th quarter and Lynee Coffman scored the only basket during the period for both teams.
The boys lost to a great Midway team 44-15. Brooks Gray contributed 6 points while Lane Smith, Koloa Teulilo and Cooper Johnson each had a basket. Ryan Newman made the only 3 pointer for the Eagles.
Montague will travel to Gold-Burg next Thursday, December 8th for their next match up.
