Lady Eagles Go 2-1 at Windthorst Tournament
The Lady Eagles traveled to the Windthorst Tournament Saturday for an 8 AM start time against Olney. The Lady Eagles won in 2 sets 25-18, 25-12. They then faced the eventual tournament champs, McNeil and lost 19-25, 9,25. The last game put the Lady Eagles at 2-1 for the tournament as they defeated Olney once again 25-19, 25-12. Avaree Woodyard led the way in serving with 8 aces on 92% accuracy for the 3 games combined. Others with aces for the tournament were Paige Davis with 5, Emma Read 4, Raylea and Maddyn Bowles had 2 a piece as did Macklyn Pittman, and Jaelyn Rodriguez had 1. Offensively Read led the attack with 10 kills. On the defensive end, Laura Hudson had a block, Davis had 10 digs, Read had 6, Raylea Bowles 7, Maddyn Bowles 5 and Pittman contributed 4. The Lady Eagles will host Prairie Valley Monday starting at 5:00.
