Volleyball Wins Consolation Championship
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Montague Lady Eagles took home the consolation championship in the 8th Grade "A" division of the Play for Parr Volleyball Tournament in Bowie on Saturday. Montague played Boyd first and lost 15-25,18-25 to send them to the consolation side of the bracket where they downed Bowie 25-23, 22-25, 15-9 and Jacksboro 26-24, 25-11 to win the consolation division. Outstanding stats from the 3 games combined: Emma Read 6 aces on 96% serving, 10 kills, 7 digs, 6 assists, Raylea Bowles 33 digs, 3 aces, Paige Davis 4 aces, 26 digs, Maddyn Bowles 5 aces on 92% serving, 14 digs, 21 assists, Laura Hudson 3 aces, 1 block, 7 kills, Avaree Woodyard 94% serving with 2 aces, 12 digs and Macklyn Pittman 8 digs.
Montague will host Saint Jo on Monday beginning at 5 pm with the white team followed by the blue team.
