Montague hosted Bellevue Monday night and both teams came away victorious. On the girl's side, Montague won 54-13 with every player contributing points. Bayler Smith had a double double with 12 points and 10 steals to go with 5 rebounds. Other outstanding stats: Brylie Hager 9 points, 6 steals, Aubree Kleinhans 9 points, 4 rebounds, Paige Davis 8 points, 4 assists, 8 rebounds, Chloe Broussard 6 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, Tinley Cable 4 points, 4 rebounds, Ava Johnson 4 points and Raylea Bowles 2 points.

Montague Eagles came into the game with a 3-0 record looking to keep their unbeaten season alive. In the first quarter Montague’s defense got them off to a solid start, producing turnovers leading to easy scores. By halftime the Eagles held a 25-8 advantage. In the second half, Montague’s defense remained strong and took advantage of opportunities to score in the half court on their way to a 46-24 win. The leading scorer for the Eagles was Caden Belcher with 26 points. Other scorers were Karson Kleinhans with 8 points, Hunter Parr with 6, Walker Strahan with 4, and Josiah Messer with 2. The win improves Montague’s record to 4-0 for the season and they will host Midway next Monday night in Montague. There will be a boy's B team game with Nocona at 4:45 followed by the games with Midway.
