Football Beats Wichita Christian Again
The Montague Eagles football team traveled to Wichita Falls Thursday to take on the Stars of Wichita Christian. The Eagles came into the contest with a 2-1 record for the year. In this matchup, it was all Eagles from the beginning. The Eagles ran the ball effectively early and set up key pass plays. They led at the end of the first quarter by a score of 13-0 and 27-0 by halftime. The Eagles were very tough defensively and yards were hard to come by for the Stars. More of the same action in the second half paved the way for a 46-0 win for Montague via the 45 point rule by the end of the third quarter. The win improves the Eagles’ record to 3-1 for the year, and they will face St. Mary’s in Gainesville next Thursday, 9/30 at 5:30 pm.
