Montague ISD kicked off the TAKS season with a "Crush the TAKS" peprally last Tuesday, March 2nd. Superintendent David Freeman, Principal Carla Carlton and teacher Candy Bouldin gave motivational speeches to all students as they were all given Orange Crush drinks to enjoy. 4th grade students also participated in a skit along with wrestlers flown in from China (7th graders Colton Tipton and Brandon Taul) to help students "Crush the TAKS." Teachers Jim Mahaffey, Angela Kleinhans, Julia Davis, Amanda Rhoades and Candy Bouldin also participated in a "CRUSH" skit. In keeping with the theme after the peprally students got to go outside and crush their cans when they were finished drinking their Orange Crush. TAKS testing schedules for the 2009-10 school year, along with pictures from the peprally can be found on our website at montagueisd.org.
