Boys Place 2nd, Girls 3rd

Montague girls finished in 3rd place in the PV tournament over the weekend. In the opening game, Montague was defeated by Forestburg 37-19 after being tied at half-time 18-18. CJ Hamilton scored 12 points for the Lady Eagles before fouling out at the end of the 3rd quarter. Jose Contreras added 5 points and Bailey Croxton scored 2. In the 3rd place game Montague defeated Terral 50-12. Hamilton scored 25 points, Contreras 11, Tiffany Osbourn 6, Croxton 6 and Catherine Tracey 2. The Lady Eagles will go into Christmas break with a record of 6-3.

Montague boys placed 2nd in the tournament. In their first game the Eagles defeated Forestburg 46-5. Tristan Parr led the scoring with 14, Mitchell Eldred had 10, Ty Debord 7, DJ Smith 6, Colton Tipton 6. Joe Frerichs 2 and Rush Nabours 1. In the second place game the Eagles fell to PV 45-20. Debord and Parr had 7 each, while Smith, Tipton and Nabours scored 5 each. The Eagles have a record of 3-6.
