AR Reading Information 2009-2010
ALL points will be due by DECEMBER 1, 2009 for first trip and MAY 1, 2010 for second trip.
**This year, each student must have an AVERAGE of 80% or higher, plus their points to go on the trips. Grades will NOT be given on the report card, and it is up to the teacher if she/he uses AR in their 6 weeks reading average.

** The range of points allows for different reading levels. We will still have HIGH POINT per grade level at semester and end of the year.
Stories that are read in class should have an AR test, but it is the student’s responsibility to take the test over the story.
We increased the qualifying rate to 80% or higher the 1st semester and 85% or higher in the second semester, so STUDENTS WILL READ CAREFULLY! They can practice skills we use in class by making notes, make a story map or graph when reading any type of book.
