Students Receive Netbooks

Montague ISD recently issued all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students brand new Dell Netbooks for their educational use. MISD used local funds along with funds from a math grant they received last year to pay for the laptops.  read more

Basketball Boys Win

Montague boys used a well balanced scoring attack to gain a 54-25 victory over Slidell's 7th grade team at Montague's gym. Brenton Vineyard and Keck Jones made several nice passes that led to their teammates scoring. Anthony Rios and Brendan Ramsey were dominant on the boards. Scoring for Montague were: Jones 2, Vineyard 10, Preston Cunningham 7, Austin Uselton 6, Dakota Inmon 4, Ramsey 11 and Rios 14. The Eagles will travel to St. Jo on January 30th. read more

Girls Win, Boys Lose

The Lady Eagles traveled to Saint Jo on Monday night and came away victorious 38-12. Once again the Lady Eagles defense played a major role in the outcome of the game. The girls played great as a team and hustled the entire game, having to play most of the game without a key starter. "I am so proud of how the girls all stepped it up to the challenge. Their intensity and free-throw shooting were exceptional, making 9 out of 11. We also rebounded very well, I am so proud!" Says Coach Cromleigh.
